Who it's for

A licence proves you can drive. It doesn't train your eyes.

Most Malaysian drivers have never been tested on spotting hazards early. HPT Malaysia trains exactly that: see the early signs, then act before it becomes a crash.

  • Riders and e-hailing drivers

Hours on the road every day. The rider and car routes train the hazards you meet most: opening doors, vehicles pulling out, motorcycles filtering.

  • Families

One home, two or three vehicles. For newly licensed children, and for parents who want the whole household more alert.

  • Companies and fleets

Lorries, vans, riders and plantation workers. Company cohorts, progress reports for every worker and certificates with your company name.

How it works

Three steps in every clip

  1. 1

    Watch

The clip plays from the seat of the vehicle you choose, in clear or rainy weather. Mirrors and speedometer work like the real thing.

  2. 2

    Tap once

Tap the button or space bar when you see a hazard developing. The earlier you spot it, the higher your score. Repeated tapping doesn't count.

  3. 3

    Understand

Watch the top-down replay: the hazard's path, the conflict zone and your stopping distance. Then answer follow-up questions, including the related road signs.

Five vehicles, five ways to see the road

The same hazard looks different from a motorcycle than from a lorry cab. Try each scene from the vehicle you drive every day.

  • View from a motorcycle

    Motorcycle 30 scenes

Round mirrors, leaning into bends, narrow gaps between vehicles.

  • View from a car

    Car 48 scenes

Right-hand seat, working rear-view and side mirrors.

  • View from a van

    Van 34 scenes

Higher seat, bigger blind spots and a rear camera.

  • View from a lorry

    Lorry 35 scenes

High cab, large side mirrors and a much longer stopping distance.

  • View from a tractor

    Tractor 13 scenes

Slow on public roads, overtaking traffic and livestock.

What's the difference between individual and company?

The individual versions are personal training for the vehicle you drive. The company programme is structured, monitored training for working drivers: every commercial vehicle (82 extra clips for vans, lorries and tractors), before-and-after performance measurement, employer reports and documents for training-grant claims.

Why trust it

Built to be fair and transparent

  • Sourced

Questions cite the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), the Road Traffic Rules 1959, JPJ demerit rules and JKR road sign standards, shown with every answer.

  • Fair scoring

Every clip is rebuilt in 3D so the hazard appears at the same moment for everyone. Registered users are scored on the server, not in the browser.

  • Measure improvement

Watch your score rise from your first attempt onward. Company programmes include a pre- and post-test.

For companies

Fleet training you can track

For logistics, delivery, plantation and construction companies that want more alert drivers.

  • Cohorts and sign-up codes. Each cohort gets a six-character code for employees to register.
  • Routes by job. Assign a rider, lorry, van, plantation or car route to each cohort.
  • Progress reports. Scenes attempted, average score, active days and training time, downloadable as CSV.
  • Certificates with your company name. Every employee who passes gets a QR-verifiable certificate.

FAQ

Is this an official driving licence test?

No. HPT Malaysia is hazard perception training to raise road safety awareness. It is not a licence test, does not replace a driving course and is not run by any government agency.

How long does it take?

About 2 to 3 minutes per clip including replay and questions. One job route takes roughly 30 minutes to an hour. Stop any time; progress is saved.

What if I don't pass?

Retry as often as you like during your access period at no extra cost. Your certificate unlocks once you reach 70%.

Can I use my phone?

Yes, in any web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Turn your phone to landscape, and use earphones to hear where vehicles are.

Are the clips real footage?

No. Every clip is rebuilt in 3D so the hazard appears at the same moment for everyone and scoring is fair.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, for the individual versions within 7 days of purchase if you have completed less than 20% and no certificate has been issued. See the refund policy.
